Andrew Beck B.L.Andrew Beck B.L. is a practising barrister and Director of the Irish Centre for European Law. He is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin, Oxford University (Magister Juris in European and Comparative Law) and The Honorable Society of the King’s Inns. He received a first in European Law at Oxford and, at the King’s Inns, was first in the subject of Advocacy, Legal Drafting and Negotiation and awarded a Bar Council Bursary.
Andrew Beck B.L. has a wide civil law practice. In particular, he has advised/acted in a range of EU Law cases including those concerning Financial Services; State Aid; Competition Law; Public Procurement; Consumer Protection; Taxation; Equality Law; Environmental Law; Free Movement of Persons & Goods; and Enforcement of Foreign Judgments. Further he has advised in respect of the Article 234 EC Reference Procedure and Enforcement Proceedings under Article 226 EC and 228 EC. He lectured Irish Constitutional Law for 5 years and has published in the area of public law and legal theory.
