The book contains an a selection of papers on various practical aspects of this increasingly important topic. Gerard Hogan SC contributes a paper on the Common Travel Area with the United Kingdom. Brian Ingoldsby of the Department of Justice, Equality & Law Reform gives an informal departmental perspective on the issues raised. John Handoll, a practictioner with William Fry, Solicitors, Dublin, deals with the equal treatment of migrant workers. Specific issues regarding the recognition of qualifications and third country nationals are tackled by Niamh Hyland and Nuala Mole, Director of the AIRE Centre, London, respectively. The book also includes the text of relevant Community and Irish legislative provisions in the field.
