Irish Social Security Law in a European Context

This book contains a series of interrelated essays, which formed the proceedings of an Irish Centre for European Law conference. Ireland is the Member State of the EU with the highest proportion of its nationals resident in other EU Member States. As such the accumulation of social security benefits is a great practical importance. The essays examine various practical and theoretical issues which arise in the context of the application of Regulation 1408/71 and its impact, and that of other Community law provisions, on Irish social security law. Contributors include Dr Rose Langer, Dr Philippa Watson, Mr Mel Cousins, Mr Les Allamby, Ms Eileen Barrington, and Mr Dave Ellis.
