Irish Centre for European Law (ICEL) and the European Lawyers’ Union (U.A.E.) are holding the Congress of the UAE, a major international conference, in Dublin on 11 – 12 November 2022. The theme of the conference, which will be held on Friday 11 November is “The Rule of Law in the European Union.” This will be followed on Saturday 12 November by the General Assembly of the U.A.E.

The event will be held in the Trinity Long Room Hub.

About the U.A.E.

The U.A.E. was founded in Luxembourg in 1986 by a group of leading practitioners as a non-profit association devoted to promoting the practice of law within the European Community (as the European Union was then called), the harmonisation of the statue and professional and ethical practices of European lawyers, as well as to advancing the practice of E.U. law and of the law derived from the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.
