The Irish Centre for European Law (“ICEL”) is pleased to announce that it will host an EU Presidency Conference in partnership with the Chief State’s Solicitor’s Office at the President’s Hall at the Law Society of Ireland between 2-5pm on 6 November 2026. There will be a networking event held after in the Blue Room from 5-6pm.

This conference will provide a forum for public discussion and debate of Ireland’s enduring place in Europe and why it matters. This is a particularly relevant topic given that Ireland will have held the role as EU President for approximately four months at the date of this conference.

The Conference will be themed “Ireland’s enduring place in Europe and why it matters”.  The Conference will comprise of a moderated panel of leading Irish experts in this field and a concluding keynote address centred around the theme.
