The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Irish Centre for European Law (ICEL) are delighted to announce the return of our joint conference Environmental Law Enforcement: Emerging Challenges 2023.

The theme of this year’s conference is: “50 years of EU regulation: a golden opportunity to look back and forward?”

The conference will take place from 09:00 to 17:00 on Thursday 16 November 2023 in the Bedford Hall, Dublin Castle, Dublin 2.  The conference will be both in person and available to stream online.

Convened by Dr Tom Ryan (EPA) and Margaret Gray SC KC, the conference will consider a range of contemporary themes relating to environmental law enforcement.

Speakers will include the Hon Mr Justice Donal O’Donnell, Chief Justice; the Hon Ms Justice Marie Baker; the Hon Mr Justice Richard Humphreys; and Alison Fanagan, Senior Counsel and Partner, A&L Goodbody. A full programme is available here.
